The following four Cranston student musicians were selected as participants in this year’s NAfME All-Eastern Honors Ensembles. Congratulations to Lily Cox, soprano, Cranston East; Mina Grady, soprano, Cranston East; Nathaniel Poshkus, tenor, Cranston East; Louis Kogut, double bass, Cranston West. This is a very prestigious honor.
Students who are selected to perform in the 2021 All-Eastern Honors Ensembles are the most musically talented high school students from throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. They will participate in a “Virtual Weekend” All-Eastern experience with professional musicians and world-renowned conductors from throughout the country.
With assistance from their music teachers, these exceptional students will prepare momentously challenging music that they will perform under the leadership of prominent conductors in this biennial event. The culmination will be a virtual concert on April 23 as part of the 57th NAfMe Easern Division Virtual In-Service Conference.
In addition, the following Cranston student musicians have been selected as part of this year’s Rhode Island All-State Virtual Ensembles:
