The Cranston Herald’s Athlete of the Week is Bishop Hendricken soccer player Brent Karpowich. Karpowich completed one of the best seasons in program history and wrapped things up by helping the Hawks win their first state championship since 1998 on Sunday afternoon. Karpowich led the team in scoring this fall and got another goal in the title game. This came after he put up a goal in the semifinals over Cumberland last Thursday.
