While it may have seemed hectic at times during the Thanksgiving holiday, traffic at Rhode Island International T.F. Green Airport was manageable. As Dan Velez, regional spokesman for TSA said in an email Monday, “New England airports weren’t busier than last year. They were about the same if not, a tad less busy compared to last year.” A total of 15,511 passengers were screened during Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Green. Boston’s Logan screened 159,143 and Manchester, 5,937. As reported by the Wall Street Journal Monday, traffic nationally as recorded by the TSA was up 6 percent from last year for the 3-day holiday but down 5 percent from the pre-pandemic level of 2019.
