Last week, the Cranston City Council honored Nancy Vitulli for her long years of service as an educator and theatre director at Cranston West. With a 29-year career, Vitulli won many awards for her work as a theatre director.
Vitulli also started the Cranston Community Theatre, a summer theatre company open to residents of all ages and abilities, performing throughout the state. She recently retired this past school year after directing the award-winning Cranston West theatre program and teaching at the school.
Her son, Councilman John Donegan, presented a citation by the City Council, honoring Vitulli. He gave a speech sharing her achievements and work to the public.
