Cranston Animal Shelter’s Dog of the Week

Are you looking for a fun, silly, ball of energy?? Roux is your gal, says Shelby Boudreaux, Cranston Animal Shelter’s shelter manager and the animal control officer supervisor.

Roux is a female three-year-old mixed breed and described as affectionate, friendly, playful and loyal.

“[She] wants to be the center of attention (please no other pets or small children),” Boudreaux said. “Roux loves to walk, making sure to sniff every nook and cranny along the way. Roux is known to be a "passenger princess" in the car sitting patiently in her spot.”

She loves pup cups and is described as a cuddle bug. She loves belly rubs and would prefer her new home to have a fenced in yard where she can run and burn off her energy.

According to Boudreaux, “Roux will be sure to bring you laughter every day with her quirkiness!”

If you're interested in Roux, contact the Cranston Animal Shelter at 401-464-8700. Be sure to stop by anytime during their open hours Tuesday-Friday 12pm-4pm and Saturday 11am-3pm.

Important to note: thanks to the Cranston Municipal Credit Union, her adoption fee has been waived!

And thank you to the Friends of Cranston Animal Shelter, Roux will be going home with training from our friends at Dynamic Dog Training.
