What do you get when you take a longtime gymnastics coach, a state-of-the-art gym, and a throng of energetic young gymnasts and athletes and put them all together?  You get Dream Big Gymnastics, of course!

Dream Big Gymnastics is a fully-equipped, modern gym in Cranston that is owned by Shannon Cornicelli. Cornicelli, who was herself an accomplished competitive gymnast, has used her many years of experience in the gym to create a place where prospective athletes of all ages can come to feel the excitement and thrill of the sport of gymnastics.  Her classes are not only instructive, they are also fun.  Her classes are not only competitive, they are also about “gymnasts supporting gymnasts.”  They are not only about skill-building, they are also about team building.

The team of talented coaches at Dream Big Gymnastics are smack in the middle of their fall semester.  They have met new and former gymnasts and Ninja athletes who are already working hard and playing hard. There is a diverse list of classes available for gymnasts of all ages and levels with new classes being added all the time to accommodate a growing demand.  These classes include everything from mommy-and-me classes of crawling “Tumbling Tots” and older “Dreamers” who are learning the fundamentals to competitive high school-age participants.

The Ninja workouts are equally as challenging and motivating. This is an obstacle course-based program that incorporates basic gymnastics skills, conditioning, and flexibility.

For those who love gymnastics and Ninja-style workouts/training, Dream Big Gymnastics provides the perfect setting.  Dream Big’s mission is to “provide children with a positive and fun-filled atmosphere that enables them to create their own goals and then empowers them to go after their dreams. This builds powerful, determined and confident qualities that will be embedded in their character.”  This philosophy guides every decision made by Cornicelli and her fellow coaches.

While it has always been a place of fun and learning, Dream Big is also a place of friendly competition where true potential is realized and nurtured.  The gym will be hosting five competitive meets this year which are the perfect way for serious gymnasts to showcase their hard-earned skills and talents. In addition to these, Dream Big proudly sponsors “Fun Meets” which are recreational meets where less experienced athletes can just jump in, learn routines, perform without pressure, and explore the sport of gymnastics.

Cornicelli has poured her whole heart into making Dream Big Gymnastics a place for gymnasts and athletes of all ages to come and work their hardest while discovering the same love of the sport as she has.  Her ultimate goal is to nurture and reinforce the attributes of strength, courage and confidence.
