May 21, Bingo!
The Greenwood Fire Company and Museum is holding their next Bingo on at the Greenwood Fire Hall, 45 Kernick Street in Warwick on Sunday, May 21, doors open at 5:30 p.m. sharp; bingo starts at 6 p.m.  Everyone is invited.  Registration is recommended; space is limited to 50 guests.  Reserve your spot by leaving a message at 401-739-7121 or email Donna at drhalsband@gmail.com   You must be 18+ to play.  Snacks and drinks are for sale.  Bingo markers are also for sale.  Cash prizes, door prize and 50/50 special.  Admission is $15.00.

May 21, Spring Street Festival The City of Cranston and Cranston Police Department Special Projects Community Outreach Division will hold its Spring Street Festival, Sunday, May 21, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., beginning at the Park Theater, 848 Park Ave, Cranston, and will run on both sides of Rolfe Street. There will be vendors, crafters, food trucks, music, touch a truck and children’s activities.


May 30, “Billie and Amy,”
at The Cabaret Room, Tuesday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m., The Cabaret Room at The Arctic Playhouse, 1249 Main Street, West Warwick, will host Boston performing artists singer, Frankie Campofelice and accompanist, Andy Lantz with their tribute to Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. June 9, 10,  & 11, RIGMC Spring Concert Series,
The Rhode Island Gay Men’s Chorus is presenting their Spring Concert series, “Are We There Yet?” at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 2115 Broad St, Cranston on Friday and Saturday, June 9 & 10, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 11, at 3 p.m. This concert will take you on a “road trip” from New York to San Francisco!  So don’t worry about the price of gas, just fill your tank with music that only the RIGMC can provide!  Tickets are $25.00 for General Admission, $20 for Seniors, $15 for Students with ID and Children 12 and under Free. June 24, Strawberry Festival Smith’s Castle,
55 Richard Smith Drive, North Kingstown, invites the public to celebrate their annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 24, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. This family friendly event will feature once again puppeteer Dan Butterworth, as well as pop singer Jesse Liam. Plenty of colonial games, activities, and crafts will be provided as well as pony rides for children. Vendors will be on-site, and they will be selling their famous strawberry shortcake as well as plants for the garden. A special exhibit will feature collections from the Narragansett Bay Quilt Association. Admission to Strawberry Festival is $10 per adult, $8 for seniors and military, $6 for children over 6 years of age. Family Cap is $25. We Make RI, an organization that provides free manufacturing training, hosts a series of job fairs every Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon, 200 First Ave., Cranston. We Make RI offer job seekers a chance to meet with employers, get career counseling, resume help and more. Every Saturday, Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market, The Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market, every Saturday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., offers locally grown vegetables, eggs, fruit, meat, honey, cheese, baked goods, prepared foods, locally roasted coffee, and local packaged foods (kimchi, hot sauce, marinara, sauerkraut, seitan). The market features vegan and gluten-free options and local handmade goods. There will also be food trucks, live music, and occasional visits from community groups.

Amenity Aid – Volunteers Needed. We are looking for volunteers that would like to help us plan and staff community events, organize hygiene product collection drives and raise funds for Amenity Aid.  Amenity Aid’s mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable populations by creating access to essential hygiene products. Serving all of Rhode Island, we distribute toiletry necessities to those most vulnerable through our network of direct service agencies.

Hearts for Hospice. Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice (VNH&H) is asking for individuals to support their hospice programs by giving $20.00 or more to their Hearts for Hospice campaign.
