James J. Quaine, IV, 53, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at home surrounded by his family after a short illness. He was the loving husband of Ronda (LaChappelle) Quaine. He was born on April 5, 1968 in Warwick, Rhode Island to Nancy Quaine Hundley, Bruce Hundley and James and Jean Quaine. He was the loving father of Jaclyn Quaine-Arruda (Jerry), James Quaine V (Sara) and Ryan Quaine. He was the beloved grandfather of Scotty, James VI, Arianna, Olivia and “Baby A” on the way. He was the brother of Maureen Hanoum and his lifelong friend Arthur Lima. James was a Purple Heart recipient serving in the US Army, 88 mic. He served 2 tours in Iraq and also received the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal. Jim spent several hours a day enjoying his yard. His favorite things were his love of being “Dr. Doolittle”. During the past 2 years, Jim was on a mission to get his children and grandchildren started on a future venture. He assisted his daughter and son in creating Q’s Tree Service. During his brief illness, he was able to watch two of his children get married. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be followed at 9am in St. Timothy’s Church, Warwick Ave. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, RI.
