One of the best ways to work off those Thanksgiving calories to do some sort of exercising. And, for nine year old Hannah McNally she literally took the plunge at the 9th annual "Freezin' For a Reason" Cold Turkey Plunge at Corcoran Pond in Waterville Valley, NH. to Benefit Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports.
McNally was spending the Thanksgiving holiday with family and several of them decided to participate in the event, on Saturday, Nov. 27.
McNally was a member of the Warwick Warblers team, which consisted of her, grandfather Jerry Shannon, uncle Tim Shannon, and cousin Tiernan Shannon.
After the plunge, Hannah was non-committal about a repeat plunge.
"It was fun, but cold. I might do it again," she said.
Tiernan, a 12-year-old sixth grader at St. Peter School in Warwick also enjoyed his first plunge.
"It was cold, but for a good cause,' he said.
The Warwick Warblers raised a collective $200 for the Waterville Adaptive Sports program.
