Let's help deer back to the woods and Washington back to its senses

To the Editor:

I just finished reading my Beacon and two articles force me to send a response.

The first article is written by Mr. Howell concerning Joy Fox’s story about seeing deer trying to get to a safe place. I pass by this field almost daily and I see this fence. My first thought was how are the deer going to get back to the woods and safety because of that fence. Now Joy has answered that. Because of that fence they won’t be able to. I hope the organizations that can act to help the wildlife of Warwick do act to preserve this small bit of nature for all of us who cherish our shrinking wildlife.

The second story was the letter to the editor by Mr. Liddle. Mr. Trump is doing what he said he was going to do? Did the farmers realize their subsidies would be cut, making them lose their farms? Did federal workers think they would one day have jobs and the next day be unemployed? Does Mr. Liddle have aging parents whose Social Security, if they have it, or Medicare or Medicaid would be cut? Did we realize that our Social Security is in jeopardy?  Did we count on spending three times as much at the market for food? Did we realize our personal data would be looked at by Mr. Musk’s team? Who voted for Mr. Musk to be doing all this in the first place? While we may need to address our growing deficit, does it have to be done without a better long-term plan?
