Paul H. Mooney, 80, of West Warwick, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Robin (Chapman) Mooney, to whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
Born in Mount Holly, NJ, he was the son of the late Henry and Winifred (Rossell) Mooney. Paul was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and went on to receive his Associates Degree in Computer Science. He continued to utilize his degree, working as a TV and Computer Repair Technician for many years prior to his retirement.
Paul was fascinated and loved to learn about astronomy, and enjoyed playing the guitar, being surrounded by nature, and spending time with his cats. He was a long-time friend of Bill W.
In addition to Robin, Paul is survived by his daughter, Raeneal Goncalves, and his grandchildren, Tristan, Julian and Liam Goncalves, all of Florda; sisters, Barbara Koppe and her husband Gregory, of Missouri, and Elizabeth Mooney, of California.
Relatives and friends are invited to join his Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 10:00AM from the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM, in St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 99 Peirce St, East Greenwich. Military Honors and Committal to take place immediately following in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00PM.
