Summertime presents all kinds of health challenges – safe sun exposure, proper hydration and mosquito/tick prevention. Join us to learn how to best protect our health during the summer months.
Being a caregiver can result in ignoring your own physical and emotional health. Oftentimes, caregivers don’t recognize the symptoms of stress that they are experiencing. Securing support from other family members, friends, and community groups is essential. It may be hard to ask for and/or accept help, but you cannot do it all alone.
Why learn a new language? Recent studies have shown that learning a new language improves cognition in older adults and also delays onset of dementia. Whether you are planning a trip to Italy or just want to have fun with a new language, come and join Maria Vallone as she guides you into a “new language.” Pre-registration is a must. Please call Kathi at 780-6216.
Tai Chi is a low impact exercise that especially benefits older adults. The three components are exercise, meditation and breathing. Practicing Tai Chi can improve balance, stability and flexibility as well as helping to reduce pain, especially from knee osteoarthritis, back problems and fibromyalgia. Come and try it!
