Dining at the Center: The Ins & Outs of the Nutrition Division

Come and meet our Nutrition Division director, Ray Sinapi. He will highlight the operation of running the Nutrition Division, which includes the kitchen, dining room, putting together menus, providing meals for other meal sites and so much more. He will also address and questions and concerns you may have.

The Memory Café

The Memory Café aims to address one of the most difficult aspects of dementia and memory loss-related issues – the isolation that patients and their caregivers often experience. The program affords participants a chance to socialize and connect with available resources. The Memory Café is a monthly gathering of individuals with memory loss, their caregivers, and/or friends and family members in a safe environment. For more information, call 780-6200.

Avoiding Scams & Frauds

Losing money or property to scams and fraud can be devastating, but there are ways to prevent, recognize and report these scams and frauds. Join us for this very informative presentation with tips to help prevent common frauds and scams.

Arthritis Exercise Class: A Program for Better Living

A low-impact physical activity that will help you keep joints flexible and muscles strong, sleep better, increase energy and improve your overall outlook. Space is limited. Call 780-6000 to register.

Arthritis Foundation ‘Walk With Ease’ Program

Need relief from arthritis pain or just want to be active? Come join our walking group. Three mornings a week we will walk the Cranston High School West walking track. You are not competing with anyone except yourself. You can walk for 10 minutes or an hour. Check in is at 9 a.m. An orientation is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the center. To register, call 780-6000.

Our Dining Room has opened for hot lunches! Be sure to make your reservations one day in advance by calling 780-6134. Lunch is better when we eat together! Good food … good friends … good times!

Annual Mayor’s Picnic

Food, refreshments and entertainment. Tickets are now on sale. The cost is $3 per person. Call Lisa at 780-6215 to make your reservation. Transportation will be provided from the center.

Cranston Senior Golf Tournament

Includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, continental breakfast, lunch and banquet immediately following play. For more information or to register, call Jane at 780-6220.
