PROPOSED ORDINANCE 10-24-02 FOR THE CLOSURE OF THE WESTERLY END OF HONEYSUCKLE DRIVE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH PHENIX AVENUE PURSUANT TO TITLE 12.04 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED “STREETS AND SIDEWALKS GENERALLY”
It is Ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
Section 1. Safety concerns have emerged related to the public street of Honeysuckle Drive and the surrounding streets in the City of Cranston due to the consistent and significant traffic congestion at the Wilbur Avenue, Hope Road, and Phenix Avenue intersection. Vehicle operators have continually bypassed the aforementioned intersection and cut through the adjacent residential side streets of Apple Hill Drive, Apple Blossom Lane, Sweet Farm Drive, Lantern Lane, Blueberry Lane, and Honeysuckle Drive severely compromising the safety of the residents of these streets.
Section 2. Pursuant to Title 12.04.020 of the Code of the City of Cranston, the Official Street Map of the City of Cranston will be modified to close the cut-through access point in both directions located at the westerly end of Honeysuckle Drive at its intersection with Phenix Avenue.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE 10-24-03 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 10, CHAPTER 12, SECTION 210 OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED ‘THROUGH TRUCKING – PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS’
It is Ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
Section 1. Title 10, Chapter 12, Section 210 is hereby amended by adding the following:
Baldwin Orchard Drive
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
