The Cranston West boys soccer team won its season finale in a 3-0 shutout win over North Smithfield to clinch a spot in the Division I playoffs.
Chris Melise paced the offense with two goals while Nick Ayala added another. Alejandro Molina, Ruben Rendon and John Sousa all added assists while Jack Payne earned the shutout in net with five saves.
The Falcons faced Barrington in the preliminary round on Tuesday, but the results were not available at press time.
Scituate 1, East 0
The Bolts were shut out in their season finale last week. Alvaro Ortega-Reyes and Saeed Osorio combined for 14 stops in net for East.
