The Cranston West baseball team fell to Pilgrim in an 8-4 decision last weekend.
Jack Fontaine, Logan Taylor, Elan Santana and Angelo Silvestri all drove in runs for the Falcons in the loss while Camryn Torres had two hits. Michael Parks tossed six innings, allowing five runs while striking out three batters. Corey Blanchette added a strikeout in an inning of relief.
The Falcons dropped to 2-4 this season and faced Bishop Hendricken on Wednesday, but the results were unavailable at press time.
SOFTBALL
Coventry 2, West 0
The Falcons took their first loss of the season when they were shut out by Coventry on Monday.
Mia Baffoni had West’s lone hit. Pitcher Mia Crudale tossed six innings and allowed two runs while striking out six.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Chariho 3, West 2
The Chargers held off the Falcons in a Division I battle last week.
Ashton Mak had a stellar performance for the Falcons, recording 41 assists. Ziyue Wang finished with 21 kills and 17 digs while Eli Lopez racked up 12 kills.
