The Cranston East/West field hockey co-op beat Tiverton 3-0 last week then tied Smithfield 0-0 to maintain control of second place in the crowded Division III field.
Lily Tillinghast, Abby Theul and Sarah Walsh all scored for the Thunderbirds in their win against the Tigers while goalie Savanna Theroux finished with four saves in the cage.

The RIIL Girls Tennis Singles Championships were held at Slater Park last weekend. East’s Kaylin Flynn fell in the round of 32 in three sets (6-2/ 2-6/ 5-7) to Prout’s Mia Renzulli.
