Seasons 2 and 3 continue the story of the NYC mobster who becomes a leading citizen in a Norwegian town. The stories get darker and darker, and unfortunately a bit too much quirkier and kinkier. The language, violence and sex reach new heights and the characters start to get on your nerves.
If you like a good old-fashioned Western, “Godless” is for you. The series centers around a mining town in New Mexico in the late 1800s. A mining accident has killed off just about all of the able-bodied men, leaving the women to fend for themselves.
A tall, dark stranger rides into town and moves in with one of the stronger women, who hires him to work her ranch.
It turns out that the man has wounded his boss and rode off with his money.
His boss is Frank Griffin, an outlaw who with his notorious gang has wiped out an entire town.
There are a number of subplots to hold your interest, including a sheriff who chases the gang while losing his sight, and a shootout finale that has some interesting turns.
Comedian Chris Rock dazzles his Brooklyn audience with over an hour and a half of standup comedy that is hard hitting, vulgar, sensitive, self-revealing, poignant, and at times very personal.
It is also X rated, containing more profanity per minute than anything you will see on TV.
This show is not for anyone who is easily offended. It contains attempts at humor about such subjects as police shootings, sex, violence and subversion.
Rock gets extremely personal at times, revealing serious problems in his marriage, his cheating on his wife, and the consequences of a messy divorce and child custody.
While the concert is at times difficult to watch and hear, it does give you a cutting edge look at how this Black comedian views life.
, starring Liam Neeson as an Arizona rancher who protects a Mexican woman and her young son from a dangerous drug cartel, is the only new movie opening at Warwick Showcase. Neeson just keeps pumping out these B-movies about old guys saving the world.
“Wonder Woman 1984,” “News of the World,” “Fatale,” “One Night in Memphis” and “The Croods” remain on screen, while also streaming on TV.
