THE LOST CITY
* * * *
(Tongue-in-cheek romantic comedy)

“The Lost City” is the type of movie we need right now.

Forget the superheroes, the violent gangster movies and the coming-of-age flicks.

Make us laugh!

Sandra Bullock plays Loretta Sage, a successful author of romance novels who is on a book tour with Dash, a male model (Channing Tatum), who graces her book cover. Women flock to their appearances to see him.

Loretta is kidnapped by a wealthy sociopath (Daniel Radcliffe) who believes she is the key to an ancient treasure, flying her to a remote island and forcing her to interpret symbols that will lead to the treasure.

Dash, who has a love/hate relationship with Loretta, wants to prove his virility by saving her. He convinces a hunky adventurer (Brad Pitt) to join him.

They fight their way into the compound, but the bad guys have endless numbers and end up chasing them into the jungle.

Pitt disappears from the chase and Dash takes over, amazingly escaping capture and proving to be a protector to Loretta.

If this all sounds a bit silly and outrageous, it is!

The relationship between Loretta and Dash grows stronger as each depends on each other to both escape and find the hidden cave.

There are some very funny lines and some exciting action.

Filmed in the Dominican Republic, the scenery is spectacular.

Suspend your belief and enjoy.
