The kindness of firefighters

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter to express our deepest gratitude and thankfulness to the dedicated group of firefighters stationed at 1155 Scituate Ave. in Cranston. This is written on behalf of myself, and my neighbors, Steven and Nina Giblin, and we reside at Independence Place.

Last Saturday, I had reached out to the fire station, as my neighbors needed their assistance. In no time at all, they arrived at our complex.

The entire team of firefighters that arrived was ready and willing to help them, and it showed. What impressed us all the most was the kindness and compassion they all demonstrated that day.

We all need to remind ourselves how important each firefighter is to our city, and how they put themselves before others.

Everything you did that day for this couple was truly appreciated, especially under the circumstances they are challenged with lately.

A very special thank you to Firefighter Muccio.

Thank you for your service to our city, and for demonstrating what real heroes are in this world.

Our deepest thanks,

Jennifer Cipalone

Steven and Nina Giblin
