Unprovoked aggression?

Posted

To the Editor,

Recently, in a press briefing at the Ramstein Air Base, Germany, US Defense Sec. Lloyd J. Austin III said that the current conflict in Ukraine is the result of “Russia’s unprovoked aggression” and that the USA must support the security of this beleaguered country. This is the authorized, government approved narrative that is pushed by the military, industry, media and congressional members. These assertions are not true.

Russia had made it crystal clear that it would not tolerate a militant, armed Ukraine with NATO missiles aimed at its heartland, but would tolerate a neutral Ukraine as established in Austria. When VP Harris went to Europe and announced that we wanted Ukraine to join NATO, that was the last straw and Russia attacked. Put another way, would the USA tolerate Mexico being armed with Russian or Chinese weapons aimed at the USA?

Sec. Austin continued with the assertion that the sovereign state of Ukraine must be defended because it “isn’t just about Ukraine’s security, it’s also about European security and it’s about global security.” That is globalism! Ukraine is not the 51st state and we have neither treaty nor obligation to defend the borders of Ukraine as she is not a member of NATO bound by Article Five. Geo Washington warned against such treaties: “It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the world.” Good advice! However, Congress does have a constitutional duty and obligation to defend our national security and does nothing to prevent the entry of illegals, equal to the current population of RI, to invade our country every 3 or 4 months.

Last Spring, former US Senator Lincoln Chafee went on WPRO and said “Russia had more reason to invade Ukraine than the US had to invade Iraq”. The truth makes us free (aJohn 8:32), and conversely, the lie puts us in bondage and possibly results in WW3.
