SMITH’S CASTLE TO HOLD WHAT IT’S WORTH WICKFORD APPRAISAL DAY OCTOBER 30, 2021

Smith’s Castle, located at 55 Richard Smith Drive in North Kingstown, will hold a What It’s Worth Wickford appraisal day on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. conducted by Daniel Buck Soules of Daniel Buck Auctions and Appraisals. Formerly of North Kingstown, Mr. Soules has been involved in the sale and appraisal of antiques and fine art since the early 1970’s. He specializes in Americana, principally from the 18th and 19th centuries, Shaker items, and 19th and 20th century paintings.

Mr. Soules has performed appraisals throughout the United States and for such prestigious museums as the Smithsonian Institute Anacostia Museum based in Washington, D. C. He has presided over charity auctions for non-profit organizations such as the Providence, Rhode Island, Make-a-Wish Foundation where he was the celebrity auctioneer with Hollywood movie producer Michael Corrente as well as for the USS Saratoga Foundation, which was held at the Honorable Governor of Rhode Island and Mrs. Donald Carcieri’s private home. Since 1999 you may have seen Mr. Buck as an independent appraiser on the PBS television show Antiques Roadshow, where he has done a number of on-air valuations.

Costs of appraisals are: $15 for the first item and $10 for each subsequent item. The first item’s appraisal is free of charge for Castle members.
