Scal, I honestly had not heard that Trillo/Raimondo theory before. Not discounting it, necessarily, but for it to be true, the explanation for how he put $100,000 into his campaign would have to be, basically, that Raimondo gave it to him first.
He has raised very little in the way of individual contributions, at least as far as campaign finance reports are showing.
Knowing Trillo, I also think he'd take issue with the suggestion that he was taking marching orders from anyone except himself.
That said, I absolutely believe Raimondo welcomes all the help she can get to siphon votes from Fung, just as Bob Healey did in 2014. I'm not sure Trillo gets 20 percent of the vote, but he could certainly get enough to swing the election.
