I would agree there is something about Fung where the message never seems genuine. Everything he's ever said I get the impression has been poll tested repeatedly. It is a sad indictment on Fung that he is scared to debate and I would agree he doesn't deserve anyones vote in the primary. I also feel that way about the Governor and her unwillingness to debate. Ramaindos excuse that Brown "lies" so she cannot debate him in good faith is a crock.

I didn't like Ramaindo last election and I know it wasn't a popular opinion but I still believe Angel Taveras was the better candidate in the primary. Atleast he had faced huge budget deficits in Providence, he enacted pension reforms by negotiating with unions keeping the decision out of the courts, he took on teachers to the point the teachers unions propped up Clay Pell as if he was a serious candidate. Ramaindo was lucky to have Clay Pell and Bob Healy in the race last election. She wouldn't have survived without either one. This is why I believe she wants no part of debating Matt Brown. Brown will hit her on the left, and she needs every vote she can get in the General Election, she'll have no choice but to follow Brown far left.

I appreciate your response patientman. I would agree Morgan isn't ready for primetime, but she might be the most competent candidate in the race. Trillo scares me slightly but given the nature of RI government where we see Gallison, Carnevale, UHIP. November is a long ways away and if enough people get fed up Joe could pick up some steam. This will be an interesting race to watch for sure.
