RI presently has the 12th highest gas tax in the country in exchange for the WORST roads and bridges. Somehow, in Mr. Brown's bizarro-world, we're "under-funding" our roads. Some of the highest paid teachers in the country with some of the highest per-pupil expenditures, in exchange for some of the most deplorable measurable outcomes and the second lowest median adult education level in New England. The problem? You guessed it. We're "under-funding" our schools. And on it goes. We've tried it your way, Mr. Brown. Confiscatory taxes, burdensome regulations, a hostility to business, and a bloated system of public sector unions. And this guy wants to double down on the entire system of failed governmental pathology. No thanks.
