You make some good point And I'm not for messing with wildlife unless absolutely necessary. (Or going to a funeral for any reason other than you care about the family).

You're right about the $527 not being 600 but it's still a lot. I believe that Council President Merolla himself said even max tax increases wont keep up with the free lifetime health insurance many retired employees get whuile also covering existing employees and all the other things we have to pay for.

I agree we get good services from some very good city people in Warwick. I definitely as a taxpayer want them well compensated for it.

The city is however in serious, serious trouble paying our bills. On the radio today there was all kinds of talk about state intervention under the same law as they used with EP, WW, and Woonsocket. It CAN happen that the state steps in with an overseer. Then what? This is no joke and the alarm has been sounded for a dozen years, with no one listening. If $526 monthly tax bill on a 200k house ten years from now would cover it, that's one thing, but they're saying that even that much wont cover it, and the state may have to take over.

That's all I'm saying.
