Police have arrested a Cranston man in connection with the robbery of the Citizens Bank branch on Rolfe Square last week.

Henry Randall, 27, of 116 Greenwood St., is charged with second-degree bank robbery. He was due to be arraigned in Third District Court on Tuesday.

According to a statement from police, detectives identified Randall as a suspect while working with Citizens Bank security officials during the investigation of the June 10 heist.

Detectives are said to have responded to Randall’s home on Monday and spoken with him, at which point he reportedly acknowledged committing the robbery. He is said to have provided detectives with the clothing worn during the incident, along with a facemask and note that were used.

“Mr. Randall has been cooperating with the investigation and turned over most of the money that was obtained during the robbery,” the statement from police reads.

The robbery occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. on June 10. The suspect is said to have entered the bank dressed in dark clothing, a green winter hat, and a surgical mask, and handed the teller a note demanding cash. No employees or customers were harmed during the incident.

Police said shortly after the robbery a man was detained in connection with the incident, but he was subsequently released.
