A service for the blessing of the animals will be held at Edgewood Congregational Sunday, October 7, at 10 a.m. Members, guests and neighbors are invited to the service at the church located at 1788 Broad St, Cranston. The joyful fall tradition attracts people and animals of all ages. Cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, birds, fish and all species are invited.
Rev. Nancy Hamlin Soukop, Director of the Office of Spiritual Life and Multi-Faith Chaplain at Roger Williams University will conduct the service. Families are invited to bring their pets or stuffed animals to the church at 10 a.m., and a blessing will be a part of the service. They will gather outside in the front yard of the church. All pets in attendance must be leashed or crated for their safety. Stuffed animals may be carried. For more information call 461-1344.

Just remember that animals do not enter the kingdom of heaven. god will not tolerate dogs peeing on the clouds and smelly litter boxes.
