Seniors in Cranston recently had the opportunity to participate in the second annual Electric Boat hiring day at Cranston East. The students were able to apply and interview with EB representatives, and job offers were given out that day as well. Several of the students are enrolled in the CACTC Plumbing and Pipefitting Career and Technical program which is housed at Cranston East.
Assistant Principal Kaitlin Hitchings said, “I am thrilled to share that 15 of our seniors were given on-the-spot job offers beginning after graduation- six of these kids will graduate from our Plumbing & Pipefitting program at East. With excellent pay and amazing benefits, this is the beginning of a life-long career with this company- working directly with the Department of Defense and the US Navy. “
