It was almost May, so again, they met for breakfast

TOOT TOOT: Holly Cole, aka the bean lady, made 80 pounds of her special recipe baked beans for this breakfast.

SECOND MAY: It was Persephone Spinney’s second Almost May Breakfast. The 19-month-old was held by Gracie Tate, 7, during the April 27 event.

THREE BOSSES: Tri-coordinators, Courtney Lombardi, Deb Scipione and Carol Kinoian posed for a photo under the flamingo. Together, the trio organized the 40th Almost May Breakfast at Woodridge Congregational UCC Church.

On Saturday, April 27, Woodridge Congregational UCC Church held its 40th Almost May Breakfast. The menu included the church’s famous johnnycakes, made by second and third generation johnnycake-makers. Parishioners served more than 200 meals. The tradition has been going strong for four decades.
