Non-profits benefit from Pastore’s lasting legacy
ALL SMILES: This past May 31, the Alpine Country Club was the location of the fourth annual Randolph Savings Peter T. Pastore Jr. Charitable Foundation fundraiser. The event raised approximately $20,000 to benefit many local and state non-profits through the Foundation. Pictured are Dennis DeJesus, executive director of Special Olympics Rhode Island; Dr. Louise DiChiara Pastore, F.A.A.O. and chairman of the Randolph Savings Peter T. Pastore Jr. Charitable Trust; and Mayor Allan Fung.
HENDRICKEN AMBASSADORS: Greeting the public and volunteering for the fundraiser are students from the Bishop Hendricken Ambassadors. Pictured are James Caldwell, Sean Kelly, Cory Woodbine, Robert Legare, Matt Casbarro, Chris Fitzsimons, Ryan Caldwell and Brandon Amo, president of the Bishop Hendricken Ambassadors.
SILENT AUCTION BID: Placing her bid on a gift basket from Whole Foods is Donna D’Ippolito. Peter T. Pastore Jr. will always be remembered as a dedicated public servant, Cranston City Councilman and a good friend. He had a tremendous impact on his community and believed in helping people achieve their goals and dreams. At the time of Peter’s passing in 2006, he was the executive vice president/chief operating officer at Randolph Savings Bank. Even in his work at the Bank, Pastore personified the ideal of giving back to the community. Shortly after his passing, members of the Randolph Savings Bank family decided they wanted to do something to not only honor Peter’s memory, but also to keep his spirit for giving back to his community alive. More than 150 people attended the fundraiser in his honor.
A FAMILY AFFAIR: Dr. Louise DiChiara Pastore, F.A.A.O. and her children Christina, Peter III and Elena enjoy the event, where General Treasurer Gina Raimondo served as the guest speaker.
