PROPOSED ORD. NO. 10-23-02 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 13 Public Services, CHAPTER 13.08 OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED ‘Sewer Service System’
It is Ordained by the City of Cranston City Council as follows:
Section 1. Title 13 Public Services Chapter 13.08 shall be amended in accordance with requirements of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management pretreatment compliance regulations. The proposed modifications are required in order to remain consistent with State and Federal EPA pretreatment regulations. The proposed ordinance incorporates all requirements required in the EPA Streamlining regulations.
There are no proposed changes to the sewer use fees or wastewater discharge limits that would increase any burdens on the City industrial users.
Interested persons will be given an opportunity to speak on the proposed amendments at the public hearing. Pursuant to R.I.G.L. 45-24-53(a)(5), the proposed amendments may be altered or amended at the public hearing as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing, provided that any such alteration or amendment must be presented for comment in the course of the public hearing.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
