Cranston West standout track athlete Ailani Sutherland had herself a day last weekend when the indoor track and field team competed in its regular season meet in Providence.
Sunderland finished the afternoon winning the 55 and 300 dashes. Quiana Pezza took second in the 55 dash while Julia Saccoccio took second in the 300.
Reece Vitale finished second in the 55 hurdles and third in the long jump for West.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
West Warwick 52, East 37
The Cranston East girls basketball team fell to West Warwick 52-37 last week. Senior captain Mya Jiminez continued to impress this season as she led the Bolts with 25 points scored. Jayna Gunderway added nine points in the loss as well.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Westerly 65, East 39
The Cranston East boys basketball team fell to Westerly 65-39 on Monday night. Juel Goris led the Bolts with 13 points.
North Kingstown 55, East 35
The Bolts dropped a tough loss to the Skippers last week. Despite trailing just 28-25 at half, North Kingstown would get hot down the stretch to run away with the victory.
Albert Kesse led the Bolts in scoring with eight points.
