Garden City Center’s 23rd annual summer concert series, sponsored by Citizens Bank and Cox Communications, kicked off the season with hip hop and Top 40 music with a performance by World Premier last Thursday, after a rain delay from Wednesday. The audience did not stay in their seats long, as many got up to dance to the music and enjoy the festival atmosphere. The concerts are held each Wednesday evening, weather permitting, and upcoming performances include Santa Mamba, Frank & Dino with the Vegas Big Band, Steve Anthony & Persuasion, Jaywalkers, Intensity and a final concert and disco party on Aug. 29 with Disco Inferno.
