Thirsty Beaver Cranston celebrates 11th birthday

Who doesn’t like a party on St. Patrick’s Day? But, for the Thirsty Beaver Cranston, it is an even bigger day to celebrate. They are commemorating their 11th anniversary.

Founded by childhood friends, Ed Brady, Justin Erickson and  Jeff Quinlan, the Beaver community has grown to four separate locations across Rhode Island.

The reasons for 11 successful years is easily explained.

“Something really sApecial about the Thirsty Beaver Brands is that we try our best to make all of our locations as community based as possible. It’s more than just good food and service, it’s about the atmosphere and tone we try to set as an entire community. If it weren’t for the amazing people we meet every day, we would never have made it this far. Every single location has so many customers that have become family to us over the years,” said Fallon Davis, Director of Marketing and Events.

Ed Brady is very proud of the effect the business has had in and on the community over the past 11 years.

“We’ve worked with hundreds of charities through guest bartender series, trivia for a cause, and various other collaborative fundraisers.”

“Over a million dollars raised with the support of the community for local charities and projects throughout the communities we’re directly in,” said Brady.

He also pointed to some specific events they are involved with.

“Our Annual Thanksgiving dinners for those in need have fed, clothed and provided haircuts for thousands over the years. We have raised many toys at our annual toy drive and summer BBQ with RI Dream Center food truck that goes out nightly. Love our collaborative work with Cranston Cares,” he added.

Brady’s take on what makes the Beavers so special is similar to Davis’ as they know it is all about the community.

“It goes beyond good comfort food and service. It’s all about people and our teams caring about the cities/towns we’re in and helping to build those communities. Our teams make the customer experience special and it’s like a family. Company culture is very uplifting,” Brady said.

Brady acknowledges the importance and fondness that Cranston holds for all the owners.

“Cranston is a truly special community with a lot of pride. We are proud we started our brand and journey in a city I have loved to call home for my entire life.  We look forward to supporting and servicing the community for many years to come,” Brady said.

Brady also thanked all of the supportive people from throughout the community who have allowed the Beaver to celebrate this exciting milestone and continue to grow.

To celebrate their birthday and the holiday they have several events planned:

Saturday March 16th, Live DJ kick off party starting at 8:30 p.m.

Sunday March 17th: Bag Pipes performing at 12:30 p.m.

Always a hit, people come back every year for Chef Andrea’s traditional boiled dinner, which will be available all weekend long. As well as a special Reuben sandwich and Reuben logs.

Thirsty Beaver Cranston is located at 288 Atwood Avenue, Cranston.
