To the Editor,

Governor McKee is flirting with danger by treating Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi so poorly in not inviting him to a small business recognition event in Warwick (Warwick mayor : Dems plotting his ouster, News, March 20).

Warwick has over 60,000 citizens qualified to vote in the next gubernatorial election.  From social media, newspaper editorials and talk radio, it seem clear that most of those voters have coalesced behind Picozzi.  Why?  Because he is a "real" person, not a politician.  Some may say that he has become a politician, but his actions disprove it.  His record shows that he does what is right, not what is politically expedient.

McKee risks alienating the entire Warwick voting base if he continues to treat our mayor with such disrespect.
