Cheryl Armstrong of Warwick, Rhode Island gracefully entered Heaven September 16, 2023, at the age of 76. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing serenity and love in her final days. Cheryl leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Armstrong, her one true love for 63 remarkable years.

Cheryl’s proudest achievements were her three daughters: Meredith D’Ambra (Michael), Susan Wilks (Shawn) and her darling baby, Beth Armstrong, who will be forever loved and watched over by Heaven’s newest angel. Her greatest joy was being “Nana” to her seven grandchildren: Michael (Molly), Joseph, Megan (Grant), Matthew, Donald, Jane, Madeline. She adored her two great-grandsons: Bennett Shawn and Michael Cooper and was eagerly anticipating another “little bundle of joy” this year.

She was the loving daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Finnegan) Cornell and is survived by four wonderful sisters: Lois Petruccillo, Elaine Gesualdi, Janice Medynski, Marilyn Armstrong.

Cheryl had an unmatched capacity for love and compassion that will forever be cherished. She took immense pleasure celebrating others' achievements and milestones. She relished perfect summer pool days, a meticulously clean and tidy home, and a crisp pickle on the side of lunch. She was the embodiment of selflessness and devoted her life to putting her loved ones first.

Cheryl Armstrong was truly "the best thing, this side of Heaven." Now, she is undoubtedly the best thing on the other side as well.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday September 23, 2023, at 10 AM in St. Kevin’s Church, Warwick, RI. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Thank you Dr. Hina Kahn for tremendous care and compassion the last 6 years. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Cheryl’s memory to Lifespan Cancer Institute, Development Office, PO Box H, Providence, RI 02901.
