The Cranston Herald’s Athlete of the Week is West baseball player Nick Masse. After falling to rival Cranston East last week in a 12-4 rout, Masse would lead the Falcons to the 5-0 shutout win the following game, tossing a complete game, 1-hitter on the mound while striking out 11 batters. He also helped his own cause at the plate by knocking in a run. Pictured is Masse playing first base in the first game.
