AMENDMENT OF 2022-2023 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

It is intended by this notice to inform the general public that the City of Cranston proposes to amend the 2022-2023 CDBG Annual Action Plan.

The Cranston Department of Community Development, overseer of the CDBG Grant awarded to the City by The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, seeks to amend the FY23 CDBG Annual Action Plan as follows:

  • Increase funding for the existing Heating Assistance Project by $8,000
  • Decrease funding for the existing Scholarship project by $8,000
  • Addition of a new project – Group Home Rehabilitation – which will replace the roof and gutters at a group home for disabled adults, funded at $18,000

A copy of the 2022-2023 Action Plan Amendment will be available for public review at the Cranston Department of Community Development, 35 Sockanosset Cross Road, Ste. 6, Cranston, RI, 02920, weekdays between 8:30AM and 4:30PM or on the City’s website (www.cranstonri.com/community development) during the regulatory 30-day comment period beginning November 4, 2022, and ending on December 5, 2022.
