Cranston’s own Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular
PUMPKIN HOME: The Porreca home at 787 Pontiac Ave. in Cranston included 80 carved pumpkins on display, all made by members of the family. Now in their fourth year, the attraction brought in hundreds of onlookers and trick-or-treaters.
PUMPKINS ON DISPLAY: The Porreca family of Cranston continued their annual pumpkin spectacular at 787 Pontiac Ave. this past Halloween. For the past four years, the family has worked together to carve and display roughly 80 pumpkins for children of all ages to enjoy. Pictured from left are Joseph Porreca, Christina Porreca, Jonathan Porreca and Sandy Strickland, along with 10-week-old Joe Porreca Jr. When they initially began the display, it began with just 20 pumpkins and has increased throughout the years. Having the pumpkins on display also brought in an estimated 500 trick-or-treaters to the home.
