PROPSED ORD. AMENDMENT NO. 9-23-04 ALLOCATING $600,000 FROM THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF UPGRADING CITY OF CRANSTON PLAYGROUNDS IN ALL SIX WARDS
It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
SECTION 1. That $600,000 be transferred from the American Rescue Plan Act Grant Fund to fund the upgrade, improvement, and renovation of City of Cranston playground facilities located on existing school properties. Said funds would be allocated equally among the six existing City of Cranston wards. Should allocated funds be unused in any particular ward, those funds shall be reallocated proportionately to the other wards.
SECTION 2. All funding referenced is subject to American Rescue Plan Act (APRA) spending guidance. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in a forfeiture of funding allocation.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.

I hereby certify that it is anticipated that sufficient funds will be available to fund this appropriation.
