The Cranston East softball team honored one of its all-time players last week when it held a ceremony at Brayton Park remembering Alexa St. Angelo. St. Angelo graduated from East in 2015 and was a four-time All-State selection. She passed away at 26 years old in March. The team welcomed her family to toss the ceremonial first pitch prior to its game and announced that it will be hosting a golf tournament and alumni game to raise money with the intention of establishing a scholarship in her name.
