Italian American Historical Society of RI hosts Festeggiamo Insieme

HISTORIC STUDIES: At right, Patricia Fedeli, President of the Italian American Historical Society of RI, shows off student reports on historic Italian Americans. Based on their grades and each submitted report, several scholarships are handed out. Each year, they give out four $2,000 scholarships (two to HS seniors and two to current college students).

On May 1, the Italian American Historical Society of RI hosted Festeggiamo Insieme at the Cranston Country Club. Both members and non-members of the organization attended this event, which promoted the organization’s scholarship fund.

Master Chef Frank Terranova demonstrated “How to make Pasta alla Zozzona” and Ron Giorgio entertained the attendees with a variety of “oldies but goodies” songs.

Eighteen different food venues donated gift certificates to the successful scholarship raffle. The IAHS Board was gratified by the enthusiastic responses of the attendees to the evening’s event.
