“Joanne has been an unparalleled ambassador for Cranstonians and all Rhode Islanders, tirelessly working to provide critical services and resources to those in need. Her innate compassion for others and unwavering leadership has propelled CCAP to new heights,” Mayor Ken Hopkins said. “I have had the privilege of witnessing her dedication to her job and to the people she serves firsthand during my first term in office. Joanne’s work has not only transformed the lives of individuals and families in Cranston but also improved the overall well-being of the community. As she prepares to move on to her next chapter, the City of Cranston would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for all she has accomplished. We wish her a happy and fulfilling retirement, knowing that she will continue to make the world a better place for all.”

Mayor Kenneth Hopkins

“We had a fantastic working relationship, Joanne and I. Between our two organizations, CCAP and the city, we were able to accomplish a lot to help so many people. Whether it’s partnering under food initiatives, to develop different task forces that we were a part of, all with the goal of helping improve the lives of Cranston residents, especially many of the younger folks, younger students, to some of the families that need a little helping hand up… Joanne’s wonderful. A fun loving person, very pleasant person to not only just interact with from a business community as a colleague, but as a person overall. I’ve known her for a good chunk of my life and she’s always been that wonderful person wanting to help people but to do it always with a smile on her face.”
