URI Pharmacy Outreach Program
Understanding the relationship between diabetes and blood pressure is essential. Over time, diabetes damages the small blood vessels in your body, causing the walls of the blood vessels to stiffen. This increases pressure, which can lead to high blood pressure. What can we do about this? At this presentation, you will learn how to maintain good blood pressure control.

As a senior who will be 80 this year, I believe we get better with age. We have gained so much knowledge over the years. However, sometimes with all this knowledge we do not think about using it. We have wisdom but instead of passing it on to others many times we stay silent. So, let’s use that knowledge and wisdom we gained over the years to help others. In our younger years we had goals, some we achieved and some we did not. So, it is time to set new goals that are attainable. Join us as we reminisce about the past and talk about what we can do today!
