Friends of Pawtuxet Village held the 27th annual costume parade last Saturday, October 26. Businesses up and down Broad Street participated by handing out treats to children as they marched down the road and enjoyed the day in costume.
Of course, no costume parade is complete without a prize for the best costume. While the winner wasn’t chosen when this was written, The Herald hopes that everyone had a good time and that the winner, whoever they are, just happens to be in one of these pictures.
Friends of Pawtuxet Village is a local organization of residents of the area as well as groups and businesses combining their efforts to hold free-of-charge community events and activities to encourage togetherness.
“A neighborhood that is friendly, safe, and clean; one in which neighbors know, like, support each other, and work out differences together; one that that bring neighbors together to enjoy fun activities and creates a sense of place,” their website says. (Cranston Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
